Akron Novelty & Merchandise Company sells wholesale products, novelty toys and gifts ( General Merchandise Wholesale ) to all types of retailers like, Drug Stores, Gift Shops, Hospital Gift Shops, Truck Stops, Hardware Stores, Variety Stores, Flea Market Vendors, Souvenir Stores & Museums. Many other retailers also purchase our merchandise for promotions and sales. We also sell to schools, churches and organizations for Santa Shops, Holiday Shops, Carnivals, Promotions, Book Fairs and a host of other activities.

Our industry has had the same problems as the independent retailers have and that is the large chain retailers are making it tough on us and our customers. We have tried to select a variety of merchandise that does not compete directly with the large chains. This gives our customers a chance to make a decent profit and offer their customers a wide variety of merchandise to choose from. Akron Novelty & Merchandise Company is not open to the general public. We require a vendor’s number, resale number or sales tax exempt number.

The wholesale distributor industry is a very unique business. We buy from over a hundred manufacturers and importers and purchase in large quantities to get the best price and freight rates available. We buy from all over the country because, these manufacturers and importers are scattered in large and small cities and rural areas all over the country. Most of the large importers and manufacturers have sales representatives (reps.) that travel the country calling on wholesalers like us. These sales reps may have multiple lines of merchandise to sell.
